Jupiter’s giant red spot seen like never before as Nasa probe makes dramatic fly-by over massive storm system





Jupiter’s giant red spot has been seen like never before after a Nasa spacecraft made a dramatic fly-by.

The Juno probe captured the closest images yet as it soared close to the crimson cloud tops of the massive storm system.

The spacecraft passed just 5,600 miles above the Great Red Spot, which is wider than Earth and may have been raging for more than 350 years.
