There is small problem. E.g.: if you will try to get DropDownList.selectedIndex (or other information about selected item) from code-behind you probably will always get first item. Solution: can use Request.Form[DropDownList.UniqueID]. It will give you DropDownList.selectedValue and then search among items thatever you want.
